Alerts are sent to gather names for positions at the synod building, ministerial education schools, or on boards or commissions.
Official Reports
The Annual Report highlights the work we did together as a synod in 2010. The information is organized based on our various callings, and includes a synopsis of developments in each area of ministry and a brief summary of our current financial situation.
The Book of Reports and Memorials, the primary source of information for the synod convention, reports the last two years of WELS ministry activity and presents the ministry plan for the next two years.
The Report to the Twelve Districts, put out in even years, reports the work of the synod to the districts for their conventions.
Proceedings is the official record of decisions and activities at the synod convention.
The WELS Constitution establishes the corporate structure and explores the roles of the governing bodies, officers, administrators, and areas of ministry of the synod.
We are currently in the process of creating a searchable database containing called worker information. Until development is complete, you can find contact information for WELS called workers in PDF form.

Have you heard that the publishers of the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible have updated the translation? A Translation Evaluation Committee has been established to study and examine this new translation, along with other English language translations. The committee has compiled essays, information, and studies on the topic.
Two essays were presented at the 61st Biennial Synod convention, held July 25-29, 2011, at Luther Prepatory School in Watertown, Wis. Rev. Jon Zabell's essay was titled "Cleansed and Fed: The Sacramental Life." Rev. Daron Lindemann presented his essay titled "Caring for Souls: People Matter." Zabell serves Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Green Bay, Wis. Lindemann serves Grace Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wis.
