On the bright side

I had been struggling with getting back to my early morning daily Bible study for several weeks. Over the weekend I determined I would begin anew on Monday. But I stayed up very late on Sunday evening, and I knew I wouldn't want to get up early the next morning. So, as I was about to set the alarm, I changed my mind and said to my husband, "I'm not going to set this. I'll just let the Lord wake me up tomorrow."

At precisely 6:40 a.m. on Monday there was one huge simultaneous lightning and thunder clap. KABOOM!!!! As I sat bolt upright in bed, my husband rolled over inquiring what was happening. "I believe that is the Lord waking me up!" I said.

Now that God had my undivided attention, I got up and found my Bible to pick up where I had left off last time. I opened my Bible to Isaiah 60:1, "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you."
