The WELS 2009 Statistical Report is now available. The report provides membership, ministry, education, and offerings data from each of WELS' 1,279 churches for 2009. "This report is important in that it allows us the opportunity to assess the situation in our church body—what is taking place as a result of the administration of God's Word and sacraments—and see the impact God is making through us in his world," says Dave Liggett, director of the Ministry of Christian Giving. The report is available for purchase through Northwestern Publishing House, www.nph.net, 1-800-662-6022. Congregational leaders can also view stats online through Connect, the synod's Intranet: http://connect.wels.net/christian-giving. A username and password is required.
