Limited copies of WELS 2009 Annual Report are being mailed this week to congregations and donors. This year's report features a new brochure format, which allows for more photos that display WELS' ministry at work.

"The Annual Report gives a brief glimpse at the many ways in which we work together as a synod to carry out our God-given mission," explains Rev. Mark Schroeder, WELS president.

Rev. Dave Liggett, director of WELS Ministry of Christian Giving, adds, "The annual report is a great way for us to share with our donors the impact their offerings are having upon WELS. The same goes for congregations who can see the impact of their Congregation Mission Offerings upon WELS."

The annual report is a joint effort between the Ministry of Christian Giving and WELS Communication Services. Six copies of the report are sent to each WELS congregation and one copy is also sent to each individual donor who has made a gift to the synod in 2009. Congregations are encouraged to share the annual report with their members so that they can better understand how their offerings are being used in the worldwide gospel ministry of WELS.
